Ashley Catlett

Hello!

I’m Ashley, but most people call me Kat. I love doing fun things with words and engaging with others. I like to call myself a social media advocate because I think being able to form communities and really connect and engage with them is one of the most important things a brand can do.

I graduated from Seattle University with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with an emphasis on Management. While I’m great at project management, delegating duties, and keeping people on task, my real passion lies in marketing. When you really love your product and your brand, getting others to do the same is cake!

I have a strong background in writing and marketing. I began in 2008 by assisting in the launch of PugetSoundOff – a website created by the Seattle YMCA dedicated to giving local youth a voice. I published regular blogs, sparked conversation, and assisted with moderating the website’s users and content. From there, I dabbled in the journalism field for a bit before falling head over heels for social media marketing. I dove right in and began freelancing in 2011, before joining long-time software company Laplink Software in 2013. I am now contracted as a Senior Community Manager for Xbox through JeffreyM consulting where I get to spend my days chatting about video games with an extremely passionate community.
